Josh Rosebrook - Josh Rosebrook Advanced Hydration Mask

Thank god I got a sample before buying! It sounded so beautiful for my dehydrated skin, I loved the blueish colour and ignored the somewhat strange smell, indulging in the soft, heavy, creamy texture. While applying it (on dry skin) I suddenly noticed how incredibly oily the mask was. This was a surprise! What followed, was unpleasant: I needed three rounds with different cleansers to get this mask off my face again. The oil was so sticky (reminded me of thickened rhicinus oil), it just wouldn't go off! The first two washes with face wash foam still left a sticky, icky residue on my skin, so I washed my face a third time, now with soap (BINU fine charcoal soap). My skin STILL felt clogged, covered in a sticky film, and sadly not nourished or soft or nicely hydrated. I'm very sorry to feel bad about the mask, but we two just don´t match.

(PS: I got the advice from Josh Rosebrook´s team to only take the mask off with a cloth instead of trying to wash it off.)

Ich hatte von der Maske mehr erwartet. Der Geruch ist wirklich sehr angenehm, nicht zu aufdringlich, aber die Konsistenz erinnert eher an eine Balm. Beim Auftragen hat man das Gefühl man trägt eine Schicht Wachs auf. Die Haut fühlt sich zwar genährt an aber die trockenen Stellen bekommt sie leider nicht in den Griff. Ich kann mir auch nicht vorstellen sie über Nacht auf dem Gesicht zu lassen, da wahrscheinlich das ganze Kopfkissen ölig wäre. Meiner Meinung nach keine wirkliche Feuchtigkeitsmaske, sondern ein intensiver Öl-Balm.

Ich benutze die Maske jeden Abend und lasse sie während der Nacht drauf. Kleine Falten sind bei mir dadurch weg und meine Haut fühlt sich am Morgen gut genährt an.

Ich benutze diese Hydration Mask super gerne abends - als meinen letzten Schritt meine Routine - bevor ich zu Bett gehe. Sie ist wirklich sehr ergiebig, hat eine tolle Farbe, riecht sehr angenehm und fühlt sich an, als hätte man eine pure Schicht Feuchtigkeit und Nährstoffe auf die Haut aufgetragen. Am nächsten Morgen wache ich auf und meine Haut hat alles wie ein zuvor trockener Schwamm aufgesaugt und sieht jetzt wieder frisch und gesund aus. Ich bin sehr happy damit!:)

I have tried many many masks but this is by far the most amazing hydrating mask! The mask had the feel of a balm and it just melts into the skin. Because it really lays a layer ln the skin, I love to use this in the shower to prevent TEWL. It really locks in moisture so well. The blue tansy scent is also super calming to both the skin and my mind. Highly recommend!

Das tolle an dieser besonderen Maske ist, dass man sie nicht abwäscht, sondern nur abwischt.Das spart Zeit und macht Sinn. Die Wirkung ist sehr gut. Darüber noch den Vital Balm Creme und die Haut ist fantastisch durchfeuchtet.

I realize I've been writing only positive comments about this brand, but almost everything I've tried by Josh Rosebrook so far is close to perfection. This mask is dense, slightly gritty (this feeling dissolves upon application) and it will infuse your skin with hydration, improved circulation and - yes! - happiness. Because this is exactly what your skin will look like: happy. I use it approx twice per week, on slightly damp skin and leave it on for at least half an hour, then remove it with a dry cloth and follow with Vital Balm Cream.
It's perfect for dry or dehydrated skins and probably for all skins during wintertime.
Josh Rosebrook, just as May Lindstrom, must have some fairies making pure magic instead of common skincare!
