Update: still completely in love with this gorgeous sunscreen. From the very light, hardly noticeable but elegant smell to that perfect finish--all redness gone, stays put all day long w/o need of powder, just a hint of Hiro blush. Keeps skin calm, even, cool and smooth to the touch. This gives me the exact same finish as a very expensive make-up by a top make up artist did, except this has all the sunscreen needed in it. A total winner!

Long story as brief as possible) Lupus, rosacea and couperose skin, finnicky, highly reactive, uneven skin tone. At the same time grieving for my beloved mom who passed right before the holidays. Feeling yikes in every way. After watching Ingy's great sunscreen video which was a total eye opener--(last year, I started using new generation chemical sunscreens from my local pharmacy which made my skin so much worse and I didn't know why), I heard Ingy explain that these store heat ( if I remember correctly) rather than reflect the sun with zinc which cools, heals inflammation etc, so I then reached out to the lovely team here about which sunscreen to use. This one came highly recommended in my case, and no kidding! I was on the fence a bit as loved the Ilia tint, but it is too shiny, slippery, still showed uneven skin tone, plus needed powder in order to even apply the lovely Hiro Blush that was also recommended to me and is beautiful. This one is so uncomplicated, one really doesn't need any powder whatsoever, quick, practical, just a hint of blush and ready to go. I don't mind the bit firmer consistency, and if ...

After having tried this product off and on during this summer I am now pretty sure that it clogs my pores. I developed some acne which has cleared up again now that I have stopped using it and I also feel like my pores look smaller again now. I had the SPF 30 version before and as far as I remember it worked better for me. Otherwise it is a pleasant not-too-heavy product with good coverage that looks great and protects the face well from UV light.

This is one of the best tinted face sunscreens I have tried so far. The reason for the 4 stars on "Results" is the limited shade range. It's not very inclusive and I hope they add more shades.
I use this instead of foundation in the summer, and it looks great. I always start by using the Nuori face and body SPF 30 on both my body and face. That one is not tinted, however, and so after having let the layer of Nuori SPF dry down I add a layer of this one from Alga Maris on my face. It also matts it down a bit, since the Nuori one can look a bit greasy/glossy on my face.
I only use one pump of the Alga Maris one, and so had I not used any other sunscreen in addition, that would not have enough for SPF protection. I think this one from Alga Maris looks a bit cake-y if I add more layers, though. But with just the one pump/layer, I am very pleased with how it looks.
In the evening I just remove it with a watermelon seed oil, which works very well for me. It comes right off.

Schwierig zu entfernen & färbt ab

Ich hatte mir Proben der Farben bestellt. Diese kamen sehr großzügig bemessen, sodass ich jede Farbe zwei Tage testen konnte. Zu dem wichtigesten Resultat: Sonnenbrand hat sie bei mir zuverlässig verhindert.
Trotzdem würde ich sie nicht in der vollen Größe kaufen.
Sie hinterlässt bei mir einen sehr starken Fettglanz, der erst nach Stunden zurückgeht.
Die Farben perfektionieren bei leichtem Auftrag das Hautbild - trägt man sie allerdings in der empfohlenen Menge auf, wird sie maskenhaft und liegt schwer auf dem Gesicht. Zudem färbt sie ab.
Auch die Reinigung am Abend ist aufwendig: Die Farbe verschwindet schnell. Zurück bleibt eine wachsartige Schicht auf dem Gesicht, die ich nur mit viel rubbeln oder einem Peeling entfernt bekomme.
Trotzdem würde ich sie nicht in der vollen Größe kaufen.
