This Dutch skincare brand was created in 2016 by Debbie van Weelden, who, after a serious motorcycle accident on Bali in 2005 (where the doctors had to remove her spleen) decided to drastically change her lifestyle in order to stay healthy and fit. This led to a career change from an indoor office job to a successful practice in food and lifestyle. As hormonal coach and pilates teacher, her work life was quite fulfilling, taking care of the inner and outer health of her clients. There was however one aspect in her lifestyle that did not meet her personal needs and wishes: skincare products.

Debbie began looking for natural, organic skincare that could be adjusted to skin condition on a daily basis. Considering your skin is a living organ with different needs throughout the year (or even, month or day!), influenced by hormones, climate, season and even stress levels, it would be ideal to adjust your skincare accordingly, right? However, no brand in the market met her needs, so she decided to register for the course in Organic Skincare Formulation in England.

She started creating her ultimate, all natural skincare formulas and through crowdfunding her dream came through with the launch of Loïs Lee Pure Skinfood in 2016 (Loïs, by no accident, being the name of her daughter). The formulas, 100% natural, bursting with vitamins, minerals, squalane and omega’s, are produced in a natural cosmetics lab in Amsterdam and offer pure pleasure in use.

Debbie managed to combine oils and lotions that allow you to create your personal moisturizer every day, simply by mixing the lovely Hydrating Lotion (pH 4,5) with the rich, delicately scented Beauty Oil.
