Are you still waiting for the summer weather to arrive? These three modern summer looks will boost your spirits and get you in the right mood for the lazy hazy summer days to come. My friend Anja helped me to visualize the different day-time moods I created by agreeing to be my model for the day.

The base for each look is the same, so if you want to switch it up, you can easily just change the eye and lip makeup for a whole new look.
Start off with prepping your face. I’ve used Dr. Alkaitis day cream on the face, and Egyptian Magic cream as a lip balm and eye cream, but you can of course also use your own favorite products. For the foundation I’ve used Silken by Kjaer Weis and concealed the eyes with Alita Space Balm by Hiro.

Pro tip: A concealer with pink or orange undertones is perfect for concealing dark circles under your eyes. The spacebalms by Hiro Cosmetics are great eye shadow primers as well, just apply it before applying your eye shadow like I did with each look.
My blush of choice for Anja was Desired Glow by Kjaer Weis. Use your fingers or a beauty blender to apply it, and when you’re done with your cheeks, slightly pat your chin and the bridge of your nose for a sun kissed effect. We’ve skipped applying mascara for this look, but used Macao by Ilia to groom the brows.

1. Good Morning, Good Morning

You probably already know that you can apply the different shades of the Hiro mineral eye shadows as eyeliner by wetting your brush, but creating two symmetrical wings can be a bit more difficult. Here is another way: use scotch tape!
Cut off two short and two longer pieces of tape to form the wing of your choice. Make sure to stick them to your hand first, as this will make them less sticky and thus safer for the delicate skin around your eyes. Then, place them on your eyelids, forming an angle over your lash line. Press White Knight into the shape you just created with tape with your finger. Remove the tape and you’re done! Finish the look with an orchid lip tint like Rapture by Kjaer Weis.

2. Sunny Afternoon

This works best with the Definition Brush by Kjaer Weis. Go ahead and apply some mascara too if you want a slightly more intense look. Shadow of a Doubt by Ilia Beauty is great for that – dark brown mascaras are fantastic for effortless summer looks, as they give your eyes definition without looking too harsh. Add a swipe of Peek a Boo by Ilia and your lounging around look is ready.

3. Hurry Up, Sundown

This time I used Tiger Lily by Hiro Cosmetics. This eye shadow stays put all night if you don’t forget to apply the Spacebalm, and doesn’t crease.
Keep the mascara and lip gloss from the daytime look, and finish with blending your favorite bronzer over your cheeks, nose bridge, chin and around your collarbones. The Ilia Beauty highlighter in the Sway tint is a good choice for a broody summer night – it illuminates the eyelids and contours the face.
