Who is this brand for?

MÁDARA skincare and makeup is dedicated to mindful individuals, both women and men, with high expectations for their beauty products – from performance and sensory qualities to safety, transparency and sustainability. We don’t usually identify our customers by age, gender, etc., focusing on equality, inclusivity and self-love instead. We really want to celebrate every age, every individuality, one’s unique looks and features, although our formulas are very targeted, just be guided by your skin needs.

We think that people, looking for proven results, wholesome Northern ingredients and dermatologically developed formulas, free from questionable stuff, will be happy to discover MÁDARA.

Actually, a combination of many things! First, the unique natural ingredients. We strive to rediscover the potential of traditional Northern raw materials and are constantly looking for new actives in collaboration with leading biologists and dermatologists. Thus, MÁDARA beauty is packed with unique actives you won’t find anywhere else – for example, rejuvenating Northern birch water (see MÁDARA Time Miracle Hydra Firm Hyaluron Concentrate Jelly), antioxidant-rich plant stem cells from the rare Northern Dragonhead (see SPF30 sunscreens), hair-boosting and smoothing extract of chanterelle fungi (see GROW hair care), as well as mineral-rich fossil mud (the star of our DETOX Ultra Purifying Mud Mask), vitamin-bursting arctic berries or omega-rich plant and vegetable seeds. So, it’s all about genuine raw materials – the real deal your skin can love and benefit from.

Second, we do everything ourselves. With our in-house team of chemists, product development specialists, perfumers and other professionals, all formulas have been exclusively developed and produced at the MÁDARA factory in Riga, Latvia, which is one of the most advanced beauty facilities in Northern Europe. Not everybody knows it, but we even offer guided factory tours – the large windows in the production rooms let our visitors see how organic skincare is produced from A-Z.

Last but not least, we make careful environmental decisions, preferring not only safe, ethically sourced and eco-conscious ingredients, but also sustainable packaging solutions, including post-consumer recycled, ocean waste and plant-based materials.

Northern aesthetics and values have always been an integral part of the brand’s DNA. For Northern people – rather introverted and solitary beings – what is inside has always been the most important thing. MÁDARA minimalist aesthetics definitely resemble this deeply rooted attitude.

Is there a suggested skincare regimen?

There’s definitely no such thing as a "one fits all" regimen, except for a few universal icons, which work literally for everyone. For example, try our Purifying Foam, the No. 1 best-selling MÁDARA cleanser of all time.

First-timers can definitely start with the classic cleanse-moisturise-protect mantra – choose a moisturiser according to your skin type and concerns, and don’t skip applying a well-formulated mineral sunscreen to protect your skin from the devastating effects of UVA/UVB rays. Then you can start playing and experimenting with serums, ampoules and concentrates to boost your regimen according to your individual skin needs.

If we’re talking about makeup, the Skin Equal Soft Glow Foundation SPF15 would be a good first choice – since MÁDARA Organic Makeup launched in Autumn 2019, it has become a beauty pouch staple, celebrated by our loyal customers and professional makeup artists alike.
