Polyglyceryl-3 Caprate
Caprates are esters of the capric acid (decanoic acid). The number behind "polyglyceryl-" refers to the average number of glycerin units. Polyglyceryl-3 Caprate act as surfactant - emulsifying agent in cosmetics, allowing the formation of finely dispersed mixtures of oil and water (emulsions). It can be derived from natural sources, such as vegetable oils or fats.
