Who is this brand for?

A. Florence is a skin barrier-supportive skincare brand built around skin-loving ceramides at the right concentrations and low pH to help restore an impaired skin barrier function. Those who cannot tolerate aggressive actives in high concentrations, essential oils, alcohol and beeswax (and other animal products) would hopefully be happy with our concoctions.

At A. Florence, we source our raw ingredients with the same integrity as we approach all other aspects of our business: all of our oils are virgin, cold-pressed, or CO2-extracted and are wild-crafted or organic, a brimful of goodness. Our proprietary blends are hand-made from scratch. We do not use pre-mixed bases. To ensure freshness and ingredient potency, we craft our products weekly in small batches in our London-based studio. As an eco-oriented company, we use recyclable glass, cotton pouches, biodegradable sugarcane bubble wrap. That is why we were thrilled to stock with Amazingy, as they value all these little steps we take to ensure the best quality for our customers. Is there a suggested skin regimen?

​If your skin barrier has become sensitised, we strongly recommend you to stop using actives for a month and concentrate on helping your skin to heal. The best way to support your skin is by cleansing with a gentle non-foaming low pH cream or gel, such as our Hydrating Gel Cleanser, or simply wipe the skin with Hydrating Milky Toner twice a day. Ceramide-enriched products help skin recover faster from traumatic over-exfoliation, sunburn or laser resurfacing treatments. Our most popular ceramide products are the Skin Rehab Light & Rich Cream, Skin Barrier Restoring Oil (combination to normal skin), Ceramide Balm (dry skin) and Hydrating Milky Toner. Actives such as vitamin C, retinoids, BHA and AHA in products should be avoided and slowly reintroduced after your barrier has strengthened, usually after a full skin cycle of 30 days.
