For our final post of this year in the ILIA makeup how-to series, hair and makeup artist Aennikin created a sweet yet sultry look using only IlIA Beauty cosmetics.
This look is perfect for romantic winter days spent with that special someone, preferably with some Glühwein, eggnog, or a Christmas tree around.
Step 1: To achieve an even complexion, start with a cleansed and well-moisturized face before adding any make up. This time, we used a mixture of two tones of the ILIA Vivid Foundation, Gobi and Tularosa, blending it together and applying it with the ILIA Foundation Brush.
Step 2: On to those eye-catching eyes: To create this soft-spoken look, we used the ILIA Silken Shadow Stick in the shade You Spin Me Around. Apply the eye shadow following the crease of your eye, and blend out the edges outwards using a brush.
To intensify this look, we used ILIA’s Violet Merlot – My Generation eyeliner directly under Aniko’s lashes, following the shape of her eyes. A thin layer of the Shadow of a Doubt mascara enhances the look, and additionally, we used the mascara on Aniko’s eyebrows as well to enhance their natural shape and color. Pro tip: no need to go easy on the eyebrows with this one, feel free to use a bit more of the mascara than you normally would, to create a wilder, messier effect.
Step 3: The pretty red-pinkish sheen on Aniko’s lips is created with a layer of the ILIA Lip Gloss Love Buzz, followed by just a touch of Gypsy in the middle of her lips to achieve a natural looking red tone.

Csilla is a huge book nerd, and would talk your ear off about her favourite author for hours if you let her. Even though she works with online media, she secretly longs for the days when people spent time reading real books and real magazines printed on real paper instead of staring at various screens all day. But technological development stops for no one, so instead of fighting it, she decided to embrace the whole thing: she's now a published author on multiple websites, owns a Kindle named Jinx (after her favorite drag queen), and can frequently be seen bumping into trashcans, people and traffic lights around Berlin, reading and walking at the same time.
