May I introduce myself? My name is Dunja, and I am a former Amazingy team member. Last year, I left the mothership to start my own natural cosmetics company. And then a few weeks ago, Amazingy’s co-captain Floris asked me if I would like to write for Amazingy Mag – after all, that’s how our longstanding relationship began.

Floris and Ingy contacted me seven years ago, when Amazingy was still wearing baby shoes and I was still blogging. And thus I’ve found my way back to my origins, and I am happy to be able to share my thoughts on organic beauty topics with you in a new monthly column.

In the first article, I’d like to introduce you to the five products that have been with me for years, becoming an integral part of my routine. Let’s start. 🙂

1. Kimberly Sayer – Cellular Extract Eye Lift Gel
   
   
   
   A loyal companion in my beauty routine for almost eight years. The Kimberly Sayer Eye Lift Gel is actually intended as a day & night care product. However, I prefer to use it as an eye mask. Every now and then, I wake up with puffy eyes and an overall dry eye area – mostly whenever I eat something too salty the evening before. Then I apply the Eye Lift Gel a little bit thicker beneath the eyes and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Then I gently dab the rest into the skin. The skin is wonderfully moisturized afterwards and the look appears fresher and more alert. I know a similar effect from hyaluronic eye pads. The practical thing here is that you also have eye care that you can use in the morning and in the evening. Make sure to ask for a sample with your next Amazingy order.
   
   
2. HIRO Cosmetics – Mineral Foundation SPF25
   
   
   
   I could write an entire article on HIRO’s mineral makeup – and I probably will in the future. It can be applied in a thin layer with a kabuki brush in no time at all, builds up to a very strong coverage, and even gives extra UV protection thanks to the zinc oxide it contains.
   
   
3. ILIA Beauty – Tinted Lip Conditioner | Arabian Knights
   
   
   
   Arabian Knights is one of those shades that most likely suits everyone. A nourishing cherry red that captivates with its transparency & creaminess, and it’s nourishing enough to generate some tint even if it’s only lightly dabbed on. It also works well as a blush – especially in the cold season, when your lip care can be a little richer.
   
   
4. Kimberly Sayer – Ultra Light Facial Moisturizer SPF30
   
   
   
   A cult product in natural cosmetics and the brand’s bestseller. This day cream with SPF30 from Kimberly Sayer doesn’t produce any whitecast, leaves the skin feeling light & nourished, and the zinc oxide it contains has a slightly anti-inflammatory and mattifying effect. In summer, I apply it directly to the skin in the morning – in winter, over a richer serum or a thin layer of day cream.
   
   
5. ILIA Beauty – Limitless Lash Mascara | After Midnight
   
   
   
   Mascara was actually the last product that I traded in for a more natural alternative, because the range on the market didn’t impress for a long time. Then came ILIA Beauty with their Limitless Lash Mascara, which was sold out non-stop in the first few months after its launch. It separates the lashes wonderfully, builds up enough volume in a second layer, has a nice deep black tone and lasts a 12-hour day without any problems (personal review) – without giving you panda eyes.
