Office Faves: Absolution

In the world of fashion and beauty, all things French evoke chicness and this is especially true for the hyped status of French skincare. While French cosmetics may have achieved a cult status, very few lines are natural or organic. The brand Absolution marks a change in this. All of their products are unisex and are made from a cocktail of wild flowers, minerals and vitamins. This August their products were finally made available in Germany through Amazingy.

Creativity isn’t only their name, it’s also their game with their playful mix and match of recycled materials and natural colors and patterns that adorn their packaging.

The brand has an unbelievable number of products, it’s almost overwhelming. Their fundamental aim is to adapt daily skincare to the specific needs of the skin. Each cream they have can be combined with one of their four solutions or an oil to treat a specific skin problem. Too little sleep? No problem, use La Creme du Jour with La Solution Energy to make tired skin vibrant. Blemishes? Combine the daily cream with La Solution Control. You can find countless combinations here.

In any case, when Absolution arrived at Amazingy, it would be an understatement to say I was excited to try the line out. I decided to try out the hand cream, the balsam, the Creme de Sante, and the illuminating eye cream.

All of the products had something in common: the pleasant smell of herbs, citrus fruits—a fresh unisex aroma. I love the fragrance and found myself constantly stealing whiffs of my hand after applying the hand cream. The cream performs well, treating dry hands with shea butter, jojoba, castor oil and bamboo extract. My hands were left velvet-y soft and the small tube conveniently fits into any handbag. Equally practical is the balsam, which might be your new winter savior, keeping lips, knees, elbows and other dry areas protected during the colder months. The perilla oil provides moisture, the marula oil repairs, while marigold extract soothes – a balm for all cases, for him & her.

The Le Soin de Regard eye care is a highlight in the truest sense of the word. The delicate fluid rejuvenates, regenerates, nurtures and radiates the eye contour. My skin soaks this up while I drink ice tea on hot summer days. My tired eyes look refreshed as a result of the cream’s caffeine content. Blue lotus acts on a cellular level, while fine shimmery particles of tourmaline and mica conceal the dark shadow. Because of it’s glowing effect, I recommend using this cream in the mornings.

Finally, I tried Creme de Sante. This cream is super moisturizing and is crafted with a mix of prebiotics and plant extracts, including ysop, chamomile, coconut and honey, which have a particularly balancing effect. My skin greedily drank up this liquid and my complexion was left looking radiant. Perfect for the summer—not too rich, light and refreshing.

I am definitely a fan of Absolution and I am eager to try more of their products. Have you tried any products from Absolution? Already have some favorites? Let me know in the comments below!
