And the time has come… It’s the last of our 2017 Holiday Raffles!
We want to thank everyone who has participated thus far – we cherish the community we’ve come to build with Amazingy, and we hope to continue to foster the values of greener consumption and sustainability as we take our first steps into 2018!
Now without further ado, we offer to you one of our team’s absolute favorite products, a must-have that is sure to be on every green beauty expert’s wish list this year: The Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum!
Made from the world’s most nutrient rich botanicals and essential oils, it is a skin care game-changer that restores the skin’s balance, texture and natural radiance by helping to stimulate cellular turnover, maintain skin elasticity, strengthen capillaries, inhibit melanin production, deliver oxygen to cells and protect against free-radical damage. It is pure skin care gold!
The rules to enter our final Amazingy raffle of the year are as follows:
Share one of your charitable moments from the past year in a comment below. (What our world needs now more than ever is for us to continue to “pay it forward” – to which charities do you feel compelled to donate most? In which ways have you payed it forward over the course of 2017? Is there any moment that sticks out the most?)
Make sure to provide us with a valid e-mail address so that we’ll be able to contact you if you’re the lucky winner!
And if you’ve already claimed a prize in any previous Holiday Raffle this month, then you’ll have to try your luck again next year! 😉 To everyone else: fingers crossed!

J. R. Thesis Smith is a mixed-race millenial in the dawn of their 30s & a wordsmith of sorts. They've spent most of their waking life in the U.S. – in the urban sprawl of NYC that is New Jersey, in the depths of its suburban echoes – but always dreamed of making their way across a bigger pond, to a place where opportunity would knock a little more often. After completing their training at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts (effectively spending three poor years in NYC) as a dance major, they gifted themselves a semester of studying abroad in Berlin, and in doing so kept a vow made in early adolescence – thereby inciting a metamorphosis of promise into full-bodied intention: to eventually fully emigrate to Berlin, the first space that had ever allowed them the freedom to find their own breath, their pace of existence. Now that they finally live there, they're learning how to breathe again – striving to become a more active member of the Undercommons as they continue on the odyssey that is their self-realization as an artistic being. Their most resonant hope is that they will be able to say what is true & necessary & kind; that people will find the time to listen, to themselves and each other; and that their voice will inspire other voices to speak out in turn.
First things first: your skin is just as unique as…

Iliketo payit forward at the local coffe shop, I give the cashier enough extra to buy the next customer their coffee wether they are already in line or haven’t even arrived. It’s a fun treat to start the day for me and someone else!
When I have clothing that I don’t need anymore I give it to an organization that helps homeless people or people that really need it. A good friend is the founder of ‘hands for paws’ who give food, blankets and such to animals in shelters. They also help foreign dogs to get a good second home.
I did a lot of soul-searching this year on how to give back to the community, the less fortunate, the Earth, people in general. I think I made some progress and I hope to only further it in 2018. I started volunteering at a grief center, where I went after I lost my son. I do that once every 2 weeks and 2-3 times a week i go to the senior center and shelter in my community . I love helping people and showing them support like they for me in my time of needing help. I’ve been trying to be more eco-concious-by not… Read more »
I regularly take clothing, blankets, toiletries, and shoes to a homeless shelter downtown throughout the year, and put together bags of beauty products for the local domestic violence women’s shelter. I love to donate time and money to animal charities because I’ve always loved animals! I coupon a lot, so I’ll bring lots of donations of food, treats, and toys to the local rescue. I think my favorite pay it forward moment was paying for the order of the person behind us in the drive thru, though. Just because it was so spur of the moment and the smile, wave,… Read more »
Dear Amazingy, This year, I’ve decided to be more conscious on where l spend my money on, I now prefer to shop from local retailers and retailers who make a difference (like you!). I’ve also donated all the usable products, clothes and books that were lying around my house unused to the various charities that needed them. Living at the corner of an old folks home also made me realized how a smile, a simple hello and a casual conversation of how the day is does indeed brought a smile to some of the elderly I’ve met. I think an… Read more »
A general advice is that you can choose everytime you shop. It’s getting easier to choose products that support good causes – e.g. Amazingy plants trees, Kahina supports berber woman etc. For me personally, best moments has been donating to my favourite organizations. This is another choice – everyone can help but you choose how to help. As I have some busy years at work, I can not currently give much time but instead I have chosen to donate. Later in life, I might choose to give my time instead but most importantly: We have so many choices – use… Read more »
The most memorable experience of this year is helping a hurt dog find a new home: poor creature had her two legs fractured and the owners just couldn’t afford veterinary expenses and almost decided to put it to sleep ((((( luckily, my friend and I were able to talk them out of it and give the doggie away instead. We found a great pet-loving family with two dogs which was happy to adopt a new baby! It feels wonderful to be a part of the kindness and compassion chain that had such a happy ending!
I walk by two beggars every day on the way to work. I bring them food as often as possible, have some conversation, and sometimes exchange hugs. Recently I gave money to one of them with cold hands and he was able to pick out a great pair of warm gloves. The timing was very fortunate as our area currently has severe arctic temperatures with record windchill. I feel some satisfaction thinking that his hands are warm.
Over the past few years, I’ve been “silently” involved in helping stray dogs in Cairo, Egypt. It started with selling many of my own clothes, makeup and shoes and donating the money. I then would sneak money into shelters bank accounts every now and then. This year I decided to be a bit more proactive. I started helping individual dogs find homes. It’s tough and heartbreaking and it shatters me to pieces but someone has to do it. I’m slowly getting into horse and donkey rescues as well as cats! I hope 2018 will be a better year for the… Read more »
I’m proud to be working as a volunteer at Museum of Natural History in New York for the last ten years and what i love the most about my job is that i get to see the nations ethnographic treasuries, to meet extraordinary people and to be a part of something great! And the fact that I am entitled to get some free tickets to the museum which I give to my neighbors with kids, two friends school teachers with classes full of foreign students and colleagues at Brooklyn public library makes me feel so good it’s hard to describe!… Read more »
It’s often said not to disclose your actions of charity or donation.✨ Giving even 1$ can prolong someone’s life or can serve as a sign that not everything is that hopeless and encourage to look for new opportunities. Miracles happen. We need to feel joy of being, and, sometimes, through acts of charity – not only monetary, as even a smile can be a charity, help others to rediscover the joy of being as well. ❤️✨
I am lucky (and proud) enough to be a volunteer in our local community that on a daily basis is helping people in need. Warm food and warm clothes, shelter and support is always there for human beings in need..Especially these christmas days, we saw so many sad faces…people abandoned by everyone, homeless people that lost everything because of the financial crisis in Greece..people who had it all and were unlucky enough to lose it all…people in a deep loneliness….one man came with his dog….a homeless man who was searching food in the garbage and found this abandoned puppy. A… Read more »
This month I was very happy to come across and become part of an amazing project, to take water to those you don’t have it, such a basic necessity that most of us take for granted… But unfortunately that isn’t so for all of us. It is such a great initiative that I invite you all to take a look: https://my.charitywater.org/uno-michaels/aramara Who knows it might also touch your heart! ❤️ Thank you so much Amazingy team for the great example you are!
Hello! This year I have become a vegetarian. I’ve decided that no longer I want to be a part of the community that kills animals in order to eat meat. It is true that the animals are still being killed and I have not made a great change in the whole world just by becoming a vegetarian, but I believe it is a good start and a small but valuable step towards creating the more sensitive and animal friendly world. 🙂
As a small act of kindness, this year I decided not to buy anything superfluous for myself and look for a serious and honest association to make a donation. I found an assiociation inside an hospital in northern Uganda that deals with vaccinations, obstetrics, surgery and more. In addition to professional training courses.
Frohe Weihnachten! Amazingy goes out with a bang with this Vitner’s Daughter serum. I look forward to reading the comments about paying it forward. My pay-it-forward moments are those where me and a few collegues are trying to make our company more socially engaged in the community. We’ve given civil engineering and infrastructure lessons to less privileged children (spaghetti bridge building, anyone?) and have started a project in which we teach Dutch to refugees. I can’t wait for 2018 when we are further expand these activities and make them part of our companies DNA.
Since I wasn’t able to check in, I left a 5-star review instead.
