2017 Holiday Raffle – Week 1 // CLOSED

This event has concluded. Until next time!

The holidays are upon us! Snow is showing up on the weather forecast, Glühwein is heating up on the stove – and as per Amazingy tradition, we come this month bearing many gifts! First up: All of our HIRO pressed eye shadow shades in the largest palette, along with HIRO’s combo black mascara & eyelash curler!

But here’s the catch  in order to enter the raffle, you need to be on our Amazingy Good List! How do you get on that list, you ask? It’s simple!

  1. Give our Facebook page a like!
(It will help keep you updated on new product arrivals, as well as how it’s going with the opening of our brand new shop in Berlin!)
  2. Tell us about your favorite holiday tradition(s) in the comments below. (We love learning about new ways to celebrate the spirit of the season – so the more, the merrier!). Make sure to use a valid e-mail address so we can reach you if you win!

And once you’ve made it onto our Good list, it’s just a matter of luck! And with that, let this year’s Holiday Raffles begin! May the odds be ever in your favor 😉

Terms and Conditions:
Anybody over the age of 18 is able to enter the raffle one (1) time. The winner will be notified via the given e-mail address. Item exchanges for cash are not allowed. We will not use any personal information you provide for any purposes other than those which have been outlined in this raffle. No employees of Amazingy may enter the raffle.
The closing date is: December 9th, 2017 @ 23:59

With warmest love,
and season’s greetings,

Your Amazingy Team xx

P.S. Be sure to head to our Instagram page to enter our secondary raffle – because we simply can’t give enough! 🙂

The most important and beautiful thing about Christmas traditions is to be able to be with the ones you love. I learnt this the hard way…. haven’t been able to spend Christmas with my family for 11years now.

Our important traditions are putting up the christmas decorations so everywhere feels festive and then for the next few weeks christmas songs are played everytime. I love that. Then on christmas eve presents are prepared and completed so that once everyone is awake on christmas day we exchange presents. Honestly the lead up to christmas is probably my favourite time of the year.

Thanks for giving a shout on Facebook about this wonderful raffle! We have to fit Swedish and German Christmas traditions. So, we bake Swedish Lussekatter for Lucia day, sing holiday songs and eat pepparkakor and drink julmust (which the Swedish love, and the Germans consider to be an awful smelling and tasting sort of coke) on Christmas day. As for German traditons, we go to church in the evening of the 24th and have a long and cosy Christmas dinner. After that, we will light the tree (we always have real candles, which makes for a wonderful warm light and… Read more »

We don’t see eachother a lot, so the most important tradiation is taking time for eachother, cooking and eating together and everyone wearing pyjamas the whole day to be comfortable ?
It’s just the best! ❤ ?

There’s no Xmas tradition in China. but now I’m living in Poland, the Xmas tradition I like the most is on Xmas Eve, in my Polish family, before the meal starts, we walk around saying thank you or any kind words to each other and share a piece of bread with each other. There also will be hugs and kisses which bring the family closer and suit the Xmas atmosphere that it’s the family time. 🙂

When I am home with my family in Canada, we always gather on Christmas Eve and have a fun meal of appetisers and a few glasses of mulled wine or cider, and read Winnie the Pooh stories. Usually it’s my mom and my brother and me, since my grandmother died a few years ago at 97!! Sadly I can’t make it home this year, so a goodie bag of HIRO products would go a long way to cheering me up 🙂

In Spain we have a tradition that marks the beginning of the Christmas holidays. It’s the lottery draw. Thousands of tickets are sold every year and on December 22 there is a draw in which the children of a school (which used to be orphaned) take out balls from a drum and sing the prizes. It’s really exciting, and that same day the news goes close to the locations where the tickets have been sold, since the jackpot deals 680 million euros, but there are five more! The whole country is immersed in this exciting tradition that brings back really… Read more »

My favourite tradition is a super simple one. When I come down in the morning I only turn on the lights of the tree. I remember that it felt so festive when I was little that everything is dark but you have these small lights and the ornaments reflecting the lights.

In my family, the little children can’t see the Christmas Tree until the “Christkind” rings a bell (well, the mom or dad, really). Then, the door to the living room will be opened and the children can look at the tree for the first time.

Christmas is all about my favourite F’s, Family, Friends, Food, and Flexible pants. I put away my phone, enjoy time with loved ones, and share good food. In between meals we go for long walks with the dog or play a (board)game. It’s all about doing what I feel like, not what I think I should do or need to do.
May your days be filled with joy and laughter!

My favorite Christmas Eve tradition is a family walk along Canyon Road in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The streets are lined with Faralitos and Ilunminarias, singing Christmas songs, sipping on hot chocolate and visiting art galleries along the way. It’s a beautiful tradition filled with warmth even though its chilly cold!

My Virgin Islands Christmas tradition is sharing a small glass of guava berry or punch (egg nog) with special cakes and cookies. These delicacies are served at open houses and parties throughout the month of December. The guava berry is a liqueur made of guava in rum, that sits in a bottle, undisturbed for 11 months. It’s a wonderful time to reconnect with family, neighbors and friends.

We put up our Christmas Tree an the morning of the 24th in our pyjamas and add the ornaments: every member of our family has an angel ornament representing them and we put them on the tree. And then there is breakfast 🙂

One thing that has become a tradition with my boyfriend and I is to prepare porkkanalaatikko, carrot pie: One of the traditional Finnish Christmas foods. (Our vegan and simple variety: Boil rice with salted oatmilk, add at least the same amount of grated or mushed carrot halfway through, then season with molasses, salt, pepper and nutmeg, pour into a shallow baking dish, put breadcrumbs and butter on top and bake for at least an hour. Eat by itself or as a side dish. Make sure to have left overs for your next night out as this is just perfect as… Read more »

One of my favourite more obscure Irish traditions is the Christmas swim. Hundreds of people gather at beaches around the country on Christmas morning to jump in the freezing cold sea. Its often done to raise money for charity. I’ve never taken part myself but when I was a child my Grandpa was a swimmer & often took part , so we would always go to watch. I don’t live near the seaside now so I stay warm and cosy at home on Christmas morning but I have many wonderful memories.

Well to be honest we don’t have any holiday traditions but we celebrate christmas and new year with a dinner inviting some friends. Last year however we went to Paris and visited Disney Land where the christmas spirit is a real thing! I hope this well become our tradition to do this not every year but maybe every 2 years because it so much fun!
