Rahua^® created a new cosmetic label / category that transcends organic & fair trade – called SymBIOtic^® – which means: ingredients are grown wild (not farmed) in the virgin rainforest; ingredients are hand-processed through ancestral knowledge; and the makers are paid an above fair-trade price to help them continue to build their own economies and strengthen their position as Indigenous Peoples. By doing this, Rahua^® has helped them create a healthy, self-sustained economy – encouraging them to continue living in the Amazon as they utilize their special traditions, and ultimately maintain their roles as the guardians & protectors of the Amazon Rainforest.

As they continue to develop this sustainable infrastructure, Rahua founders Fabian Lliguin & Anna Ayers keep their sense of environmentalism close to heart – working alongside the Indigenous People of the Amazon to gather their precious ingredients only from self-sustained forests, and keeping true to their promise to never harvest non-regenerative rainforest ingredients ♥
