A synthetic ingredient used to reflect and scatter light which can reduce the look of fine lines on the skin.
Because it's a very porous polymer ot absorbs excess oil on the skin and can give makeup and skin care products a matt finish.
Concern: not biodegradable, will take a long time to break down in the environment.
