Zea Mays
Zea Mays starch is derived from the corn (maize) grain. It provides the silky feel and natural sheer coverage to mineral makeup. It is also a highly absorbent ingredient. Like with cooking, corn starch is used to thicken liquids, or in this case water based cosmetic products.
