Blue Tansy is a little flower, mostly seen in Morocco. Its beautiful blue essential oil is packed with anti-oxidants. It gets its beautiful blue colour through the process of steam distilling the flower into oil, which is blue because of its high chamazulene content. Because of its calming properties, Tanacetum Annuum Flower Oil - which is Blue Tansy's inci name - can mostly be found in products that help fighting acne, eczema and/or ageing.
Blue tansy is also believed to help relieve an itchy scalp as a result from ie. dandruff.
It has a calming, fresh, complex, somewhat sweet, slightly floral & herby aroma. Blue tansy oil can very well be used as an alternative to German Chamomile.
Other names for Blue Tansy are Moroccan Blue Chamomile and Moroccan Tansy.
