Sorbitol
Sorbitol is a polyol (sugar alcohol) commonly used for its humectant, texture-modifying, stabilizing, and moisturizing properties. It also enhances the smell of a product and / or perfumes the skin. It can be derived from natural sources such as fruits and berries, or it can be produced synthetically.
