A vegetable oil obtained from the seeds of the Castorplant, aka Ricinus communis, Euphorbiaceae. Castor oil has water-binding properties which make it a good moisturizer for skin, scalp and hair. It contains Undecylenic Acid, which has germicidal and disinfectant properties. Therefore it is thought that castor seed oil can possibly help against bacterial or fungal infections.
