Haematococcus Pluvalis Oleoresin co2
Haematococcus pluvialis Oleoresin CO2 is an extract derived from the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. It is known for its high content of astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant carotenoid. Astaxanthin is responsible for the red colour of microalgae and is valued for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin-protective properties.
The extraction process usually involves the use of supercritical carbon dioxide (CO2) to obtain the beneficial compounds from the microalgae because of its ability to preserve the integrity of the active components while minimising the use of solvents or other chemicals.
