Sodium Benzoate

Sodium benzoate is the sodium salt of benzoic acid and is commonly used as a preservative to prevent the growth of bacteria, yeasts and moulds in various formulations. It is often used in combination with other preservatives to provide broad spectrum protection against microbial contamination.
Its main function is to prolong the shelf life of products by maintaining their safety and stability over time.
