Rosmarinus officinalis, commonly known as rosemary, is a woody, perennial plant with fragrant evergreen needle-like leaves. Since ancient times it has been used in traditional medicine, both internally and topically, for its preservative and therapeutic abilities. Rosemary is known for its strong antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity. Used in skin care it helps relieve inflammation (good for conditions like acne, eczema, psoriaris), support cell growth and regeneration (thus protecting against signs of ageing), stimulate blood circulation, and extending the a product's shelf-life.
