It looks like winter is not quite here yet but is happily sending its little brother autumn ahead with single-figure temperatures\u00a0and strong winds to remind us that summer is definitely over. I’ve always had this huge chapped lip problem as soon as the season changes… so unbearable, I couldn’t wear lipstick and if I drank one glass of red… I looked yeah… well let’s say not very sexy. So I used every possible conventional lipbalm brand to get my pout lush & soft… without success. Then I started reading about safe cosmetics, about drying ingredients, like alcohol, mineral oils… ugh!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

All this time I thought I was moisturizing my lovely lips, I was doing the exact opposite; making them ask for more more more, while drying them out. Luckily I’m aware of that now and my winter-worn lips have allowed me to properly explore the wonderful world of clean multitasking balms available. My\u00a0favourite? Definitely Balm Balm’s multi usage balms. I have one in my bag, one on my desk and there’s even one in our bathroom.<\/p>\n

<\/strong>Lip Balm is the one toiletry product that cannot help but be ingested, yet the market has been dominated by Petroleum Jelly based products – and who wants to eat mineral oils? These petroleum based lip balms just sit on your lips and basically form a barrier whereas Balm Balm is 100% natural & organic and moisturizes your skin. It means you do not have to reapply it as often, leaving you to do much more interesting things with your time! \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

As many of you know, when it comes to clean beauty, often what works on your lips also does wonders for your elbows, and maybe even under your eyes. Floris (my hubby, partner in crime, and love of my life) even likes to use Balm Balm to get his fluffy hair in proper shape. Rose Geranium has a lovely smell and I like this one on my face (winter-proof-guaranteed) and I use the tea tree balm for my feet (relaxing & moisturizing in one) &\u00a0 for my lips (cold-sore-proof). Perfume free it is great for experimenting with essential oils or to use on your baby.\u00a0 Here some tips to get the best out of your balm:<\/p>\n

ADD A LITTLE ‘SOMETHING’ TO YOUR BALM BALM<\/strong>
\nIf you would like to add a little flavour to your Fragrance Free Lip Balm, try this\u2026\u2026.. Remove Balm Balm lid and place jar in microwave for 60 seconds or until melted through. Add just one drop of your favourite essential oil or food flavouring. Stir with the end of a teaspoon. Put lid back on and place in the fridge to reset.<\/p>\n

\"Organic<\/a><\/p>\n

BREATHE EASY<\/strong>
\nIf you are suffering from a blocked nose or any kind of congestion try this\u2026\u2026 Remove Fragrance Free Lip Balm lid and place jar in microwave for 60 seconds or until melted through. Add two drops of eucalyptus or pine essential oil. Stir with the end of a teaspoon. Put lid back on and place in the fridge to reset.<\/p>\n

SKINCARE<\/strong>
\nWarm a little of any Balm Balm between your finger tips until it appears oily. Use underneath foundation for a flawless complexion as Balm Balm will allow your foundation to smooth over skin more easily and dilute it just enough to give it a really naturally look. Your very own tinted moisturizer.<\/p>\n

CUTICLES<\/strong>
\nRub a little Balm Balm into cuticles and nails and leave for a few minutes before gently pushing cuticles down with an orange stick. Balm Balm will soften cuticles and condition nails.<\/p>\n

CRADLE CAP<\/strong>
\nWarm a little Fragrance Free Lip or Face Balm between your finger tips and gently rub into baby’s scalp.
\nNo need to wash out as Balm Balm is perfectly safe and will continue to condition & nourish flaky skin.<\/p>\n

\"Best<\/a>BOTTOMS <\/strong>Babies that is…..<\/em>
\nNo need to lug about big tubs of baby cream. When you’re out & about use Fragrance Free Lip or Face Balm on baby’s bottom. It will nourish, condition & protect delicate skins and you only need to use a tiny amount.<\/p>\n

EYEBROWS<\/strong>
\nAre they wild & unruly? Keep them in place with a dab of Balm Balm. Use on hair too!<\/p>\n

EYE LASHES<\/strong>
\nTry Fragrance Free Lip or Face Balm on your eyelashes & delicate skin around your eyes each evening to condition and nourish as you sleep.<\/p>\n

HEELS & ELBOWS<\/strong>
\nOn your feet all day? Resting your elbows on your desk all day? Hard skin is the result and nothing is a greater reflection of age than ‘crusty’ skin on heels & elbows! Rub Balm Balm into them regularly and notice the difference in just a few days.<\/p>\n

PERFUME<\/strong>
\n\"Balm<\/a>To make your own 100% natural perfume try this\u2026\u2026..
\nRemove Fragrance Free Lip Balm lid and place jar in microwave for 60 seconds or until melted through. Add two drops of rose or jasmine or any beautifully fragranced essential oil or absolute. Stir with the end of a teaspoon. Put lid back on and place in the fridge to reset. Dab onto pulse points when the mood takes you!<\/strong><\/p>\n

KEEP COOL!<\/strong>
\nTo prolong the life of your Balm Balms, simply keep them cool. They will melt at approximately 32 degrees but don’t worry, just pop them in the fridge and they will soon harden up again.<\/p>\n

GRITTY IS GOOD!<\/strong>
\nOnce you’ve hardened up your Balm Balm it may be a little gritty. This is because it has hardened up too quickly but it is not a problem at all. In fact, it is a nice texture which melts away quickly. It is simply due to the lack of nasty chemical emulsifiers so enjoy the grittiness, knowing that it is Balm Balm’s little way of reminding you it is completely natural.<\/p>\n
