In reality, there are far more than 18 uses, as people constantly write in to tell us about yet another utility of the soap. We won\u2019t detail them all, but below are some of the major uses &amp; dilutions.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><em>The everyday bodywash:<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>after rinsing,\u00a0pour soap onto hands\/washcloth\/loofah. Lather up, scrub down, rinse off, and feel the tingle of fresh &amp; clean.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>As cleaning solution:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0dilute one part soap with 40 parts water for light cleaning, or dilute it 1-to-1 &amp; use it full-strength for those heavy-duty, grease-cutting jobs.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>As shampoo:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0a little bit goes a long way \u2014 and when paired with the Citrus Conditioning Rinse &amp; Organic Leave-In Conditioning Cr\u00e8me, it works better than ever.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>For laundry:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0use 1\/4 cup to 1\/3 cup for one regular load; adjust as needed depending on hardness of water. I&#8217;ve been told that adding a dash of baking soda makes it even better.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>For pets:<\/strong><\/em> lather up well &amp; apply to their body. Be careful to keep the soap and the lather away from their eyes. (I find a mixture of peppermint &amp; eucalyptus works best.)<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>For brushing the teeth:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0apply a drop or two of Dr. Bronner\u2019s Magic Soap (I prefer the peppermint) to a wet toothbrush. Brush as you normally would, rinsing accordingly. Be careful when using more than a couple drops of soap, as you might start foaming in the mouth (last time I checked, &#8220;rabid chic&#8221; was still not en vogue). Many people with sensitive or softer teeth like to use Dr. Bronner&#8217;s soap as toothpaste because it lacks abrasives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;The ideals of our grandfather are continued today in our corporate culture. She presents hundreds of great ideas &amp; manners to clean in a non-toxic &amp; eco-friendly way, giving many examples in which you could use an all-natural liquid soap like Dr. Bronner&#8217;s.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Dr. Bronner also recorded the &#8220;18-in-1 Uses&#8221; onto his label, which his family has left mostly intact since his passing in 1997\u00a0\u2014<\/p>\n<p>1.
