“Living Coral” \u2013 the Pantone Color of 2019<\/em> \u2013 has received a lot of controversy. And we think that the lovely Nath of beautycalypse summed up the problem pretty well<\/strong><\/a>: if each of us manages to keep ourselves educated & aware, Mother Earth will thank us kindly in turn. At Amazingy we stand for color \u2013 the brighter, the better. We suggest colors like ILIA Beauty\u2019s Shell Shock<\/a> or Absolution\u2019s Papaya<\/a> to our customers non-stop. The simplest accent of color can immediately lift our mood and put a smile on our face.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

As such, we\u2019ve used this colorful occasion to show off another of our daring (but wearable) looks. Our in-house MUA Svenja let off some steam, and here\u2019s the result… <\/strong>\u2728<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our lovely colleague Kate needed a fresh look after Karneval weekend, one that could make her worn out skin shine again \u2013 and what better way to do that than with this IN LIVING CORAL LOOK<\/em>?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To prep the skin perfectly, I first applied ILIA Beauty<\/a>‘s new True Skin Radiant Priming Serum<\/a>. It makes the skin taut, gives it a soft glow, and creates a smoother surface for the foundation \u2013 in this case, the True Skin Serum Foundation<\/a> in 3.5 Corsica (also from ILIA Beauty). And since it works so well, we\u2019ll stay in the ILIA family and use one of their new True Skin Serum Concealer<\/a> in 2C Yucca (a very light shade with neutral-cool undertones). I apply all three products gently with my finger \u2013 and the complexion is completely evened out.

Next up is the eyes: here I also used a great ILIA product as the base \u2013 their On & On Brightening Eye Primer<\/a>. It has a very practical applicator, so using it is a cinch; this will make sure that the eye shadow doesn\u2019t settle into the eye crease (working as a replacement for foundation & powder). I let it dry for a bit, and then I continued with one of HIRO Multisticks in The Afterhour<\/a> (the first coral shade for the look). The multisticks from HIRO Cosmetics<\/a> have a \u201cfrom cream to powder\u201d-type of consistency, which you can apply easily with a brush onto the eyelid. Coral and peach shades liven the eyes and serve as an simple trick to give your face a fresher appearance. To break up the monochrome look, I decided to use a colored eyeliner \u2013 a likewise cheerful color, turquoise. I used one of HIRO\u2019s Mineral Eyeshadow in Menthe Elle<\/a>, mixed with water and applied with their Angled Liner Brush<\/a>. This simple stroke turns the look into a real eye-catcher \u2013 perfect for a night out.

The cheeks are draped with the new ILIA Multistick in Dreamer<\/a> (a muted coral). And the lips get another new color from ILIA \u2013 a light touch of mauve, in the form of ILIA\u2019s Tinted Lip Conditioner in Forever<\/a>. It rounds off this wonderfully fresh & cheeky look \u2013 without being too pushy \ud83d\ude09
