{"id":18625,"date":"2017-12-29T14:00:03","date_gmt":"2017-12-29T13:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amazingy.com\/magazine\/?p=18625"},"modified":"2018-12-12T14:33:20","modified_gmt":"2018-12-12T13:33:20","slug":"britta-unders-hiro-oh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amazingy.com\/magazine\/britta-unders-hiro-oh\/","title":{"rendered":"Britta &#038; Unders &#038; HIRO, Oh My!"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>Our resident MUA here at Amazingy, Svenja Mauter-Schellong, recently teamed up with photographer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carolinsaage.com\">Carolin Saage<\/a> to have a photoshoot with DJ duo Britta &amp; Unders from right here in our home city of Berlin \u2013 using only\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/amazingy.com\/en\/hiro-natural-mineral-makeup.html\">HIRO Cosmetics<\/a><\/strong><strong>\u00a0and wearing apparel by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.demobaza.com\">Demobaza<\/a><\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>\u2013\u00a0<\/strong><strong>and the results were absolutely stunning! And we even got to ask them a few questions post-shoot about the ways in which they lead a sustainable lifestyle when they\u2018re always on the road. Turns out techno-lovers can be tree-huggers, too &lt;3<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><div class=\"su-youtube su-u-responsive-media-yes\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"570\" height=\"320\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hEtYrVP1PfY?autoplay=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture\" title=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/h4>\n<p>HIRO is an entirely natural cosmetics line, an extension of our company&#8217;s ethical standards and environmental advocacy, and as its employees, we try to adhere to that ethos and lead by example. Of course, the means of ethical consumption will vary person to person \u2013 as one&#8217;s lifestyle choices and overall circumstances directly correlate to self-sustainability\u00a0\u2013 but when we make even the smallest positive choices, they can have larger ripple effects on the environment as a whole.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4><strong><em>&#8220;Currently both of us are vegetarian and are leaning more and more towards a vegan diet \u2013 both an ethical choice and a political retaliation against the current food economy we live in.&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>When the DJs are at home, they try as much as possible to lean on alternative means of travel. Britta chooses to ride her bicycle whenever possible to avoid contributing to carbon emissions \u2013 and Unders uses his new electronic skateboard from Inboard to do the same (which he says is probably the coolest eco-friendly mode of transport on the planet!). It can be difficult to be consistent with their sustainable practices as flying from location to location is a part of their job, but since they started with their new management company <a href=\"http:\/\/wearee.nl\/\">We Are E<\/a>, efficient organizational tactics have enabled them to take less flights.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4><strong><em>&#8220;And we are planning a summer tour with campers to completely eliminate flying during our peak summer season. Obviously these campers will be built as eco-friendly as possible.
