The cult classic, <a href=\"http:\/\/amazingy.com\/en\/bath-and-body\/shower-gel-cleanser\/dr-bronner-liquid-soap-baby-mild-en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Bronners Castile Soap<\/a>, is made from water, organic coconut oil, potassium hydroxide, organic palm kernel oil, organic olive oil, organic hemp oil, organic jojoba oil, citric acid, and tocopherol. I personally love how gentle &amp; versatile this soap is. We\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/amazingy.com\/magazine\/18-1-dr-bronner-uses-tips-tricks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">touched upon this in the magazine<\/a> before, but I wanted to give you guys some easy-to-follow recipes for how to use castile soap everyday.<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>DIY with Dr Bronners<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<h3><strong><em>Multipurpose Cleaner<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: 400;\">This is an inexpensive, natural &amp; elegantly simple way to clean all sorts of surfaces around your home. It leaves things clean and smelling great. You can use it anywhere you\u2019d normally use a conventional multipurpose cleaner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: 400;\">All you&#8217;ll need is:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: 400;\">\n<li><strong>1 Litre Spray Bottle, filled just below the top with water<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>2 generous spoonfuls of castile soap<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>around 20 drops of tea tree oil<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: 400;\">Shake all the ingredients together in the spray bottle and then you\u2019re good to go. This all-purpose cleaner works on any surface, it&#8217;s gentle, and it smells great.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3><em><strong>Homemade Non-Toxic Fabric Stain Remover<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">This concoction is hypoallergenic &amp; perfectly safe for sensitive skin. As soon as a stain occurs, you should try to wash it out with water. If you\u2019re at home, get this mixture out and spray it onto the affected area ASAP. Rub the mixture in and let it sit for 30 minutes, ideally.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019ll mix together:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">\n<li><strong>350 ml of water<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>60 ml of castile soap<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>60 ml vegetable glycerin<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>30 ml of baking soda<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>15 drops of lemon essential oil<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">A spray bottle works best for this mixture, as well. The key to remember is that this is the most natural option, but it will take longer than its conventional counterpart \u2014 it\u2019s still worth it! And you can even use Dr. Bronner&#8217;s Castile Soap\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.apartmenttherapy.com\/make-your-own-dr-bronners-laun-138151\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">as a laundry detergent<\/a>!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3><em><strong>Natural Dusting Spray<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/em><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">Nobody actually likes to dust, or at least that\u2019s what I thought. But if you must dust, the best way to clear your home and wooden furniture of its cobwebs is to whip up a batch of this DIY all-natural dusting spray.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">To make this, you\u2019ll need:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">\n<li><strong>80 ml water<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>30 ml castile soap<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>8 drops orange essential oil<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>4 drops cedarwood essential oil<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>4 drops lemon essential oil<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>A small spray bottle with a fine nozzle<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">Add all together in the spray bottle &amp; mix well. If you want to polish your wood while you clean, add a splash of olive oil to the mixture. It\u2019s so easy to make, it smells great, and it\u2019s free from all of the chemical additives that conventional versions tend to contain.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I don\u2019t know about you guys, but when I use harsh cleaning products, I can actually feel the effects it has on my respiratory system\u00a0\u2014 and, let me tell you, it does not feel good. I don\u2019t want to feel like I&#8217;m inhaling toxic chemicals every time I make the effort to maintain some semblance of a hygienic home. <em>Especially<\/em> if you have small children running around, touching every surface before touching their face. This is why it is as equally important to switch over to natural cleaning products as it is to use natural cosmetics. The products that we use in our home spaces affect us similarly to the products that go on our skin. Luckily, it\u2019s not too difficult to make many of your own gentle cleaning products.
