When Kjaer Weis introduced their organic and refillable lipsticks this week, I was simply in awe. The super chic and sleek design, combined with beautiful opaque and creamy colors is a match made in heaven. The shade names are instant classics and the hues range from a deep red with blue undertones to the perfect pinky-nude. All lipsticks contain jojoba seed oil and nourishing shea butter, making the application a breeze. The moisturizing ingredients ensure that your colorful pout wont dry out. I couldn’t bring myself to pick just one, so I decided to bring them all home for a test run. Here’s how they performed.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

BELIEVE<\/h2>\n

\"Kjaer<\/a><\/p>\n

Described as an opaque plum color, BELIEVE<\/a> definitely looked more rosy on me. I would describe it as a warm-toned rosewood color with a satin, velvety finish. It felt super moisturizing on the lips and lasted for maybe 2-3 hours. Since it is so hydrating, the wear time wasn’t as long as some of the other shades. The color itself is perfect for everyday since it is quite subtle and natural. Overall a beautiful shade which, BTW, is pretty much an exact dupe for MAC’s Whirl Lipstick (A.K.A. Kylie Jenner Lipcolor). So to everyone who was on the hunt for an organic and nourishing alternative to give a Whirl, here you go.<\/p>\n

LOVE<\/h2>\n

\"Kjaer<\/a><\/p>\n

This lipstick is definitely for the brave of heart, popping out in a beautiful bright coral. Kirsten from Kjaer Weis wears this whenever she is going for \u201emaximum impact\u201c, which is why I wouldn’t necessarily wear this shade every day. LOVE<\/a> stayed put and vibrant for several hours and didn’t let me down throughout drinking and eating. The wonderful coral appeared slightly neon on my pale skin tone. It definitely made for an amazing statement lip, while I kept the rest of my makeup rather simple. <\/p>\n

EMPOWER<\/h2>\n

\"Kjaer<\/a><\/p>\n

I have to say that I love me some pinky reds and EMPOWER<\/a> is exactly that: a gorgeous, bright pink with red undertones. It is universally flattering and very opaque when you first apply it. The wear time of this shade is incredible and it leaves behind a slightly pink stain. If I had to choose one of the five, EMPOWER would be my number one choice as it takes any makeup look to the next level. <\/p>\n

HONOR<\/h2>\n

\"Kjaer<\/a><\/p>\n

HONOR<\/a> is described as a well-balanced nude with pink undertones. On my lips it appeared to be a lot more nude than pink and was very easy to apply. The creamy formula stays glossy for quite a while and only slowly dries down. It is the perfect nude for all pale girls out there but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it to darker skin tones. It left no stain behind and stayed on my lips for 3 hours. <\/p>\n

ADORE<\/h2>\n

\"Kjaer<\/a><\/p>\n

Most of us might already have a true red in their lipstick collection, but ADORE<\/a> might be the most comfortable one I have ever worn. The application is smooth and easy. You don’t even need a lip liner with this one as it stays right there where you applied it and doesn’t bleed out at all. The finish is glossy at first but slowly dries down to a satin finish. ADORE is quite a deep red with a slightly blue undertone that will flatter all skin tones. If you’ve been searching for a non-drying and opaque formula, look no further. <\/p>\n

Overall, each lip color performed incredibly well and all were very easy to apply. None of them dried out my lips or bled out. The formula is very long wearing for a lipstick and will not let you down throughout the day. I would suggest to keep the lipstick on your purse. Not only to touch up the color but also because the packaging will inspire envy in all your colleagues.<\/p>\n
