As a makeup artist,\u00a0I’m\u00a0all about latest trends and looks. In this column, I want to show you how to recreate current makeup, hair and nail trends. I’ll bring you looks off the\u00a0catwalk using only organic, chemical free and skin friendly products. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The first trend for autumn and winter 2015 is a low-key approach on your everyday eye. The ‘washed out’ eye shadow was seen in a diversity of shows\u00a0this season, including Alexander Wang, Burberry Prorsum, Emilio Pucci or Prada (all AW 15\/16). The shadows ranged from taupe or grey hues to a warm caramel tone. The main element of this look was to create a soft, iridescent, almost see-through tint on the eyelids, while keeping the rest of the face bare or subtle. I thought this trend would be a pleasant opener for this column, and recreated the look on Elisa, our model for the day.<\/p>\n

How to achieve the ‘washed out’ look<\/h2>\n

Step 1:<\/strong> Make sure you moisturize your face well in advance. A hydrated face is the perfect canvas after all. I started out with applying the ILIA Foundation in the shade Tularosa <\/a>all over the face, using a damp beauty blender. Because of the product’s great coverage there was no need to use a concealer.<\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/strong> For the eyes, I chose Myth by RMS<\/a>, which, in my opinion, is the loveliest, most magical taupe shade I\u2019ve ever seen. Since it\u2019s so pale and soft, it works great not only for this look, but also if you are aiming for a nude face.
\nOther shades that would work very well are Grace <\/a>and Divine <\/a>by Kjaer Weis, In Between Days<\/a> and You Spin Me Round<\/a> by ILIA or a thin coat of Karma by RMS<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I used a fluffy brush to apply the eyeshadow, emphasizing the inner corner of the eye under the brow bone. If you don’t have a brush, your fingers will work just as well with creamy textures.<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong> I kept the rest of the colors on the face very subtle, since I wanted to draw all the attention to the eyelids. For the lashes, I used grey mascara, going with Asphalt Jungle <\/a>by ILIA. To highlight Elisa’s face, I used the Living Luminizer<\/a> from RMS.
\nFor the cheeks, I used Embrace <\/a>by Kjaer Weis, which is a delicate nude tone that can\u00a0also double as a lip color. The brows were kept in place by the multi-talented Egyptian Magic<\/a>.<\/p>\n
