Just a few weeks ago, when the sun was still shining brightly and summer seemed to never end, I had the opportunity to try out some of the products in the Amazingy range. This time, there were no self-tanners<\/a>\u00a0or peelings<\/a>. Instead, I was happily lathering my way through the entire collection of the Less is More shampoos. Below, you can read how I \u2014 and my hair \u2014 felt about the\u00a0whole thing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Less is More<\/a> is a brand from Austria specializing in organic hair care. The line is founded by Hannes Trummer, a renowned Viennese hairdresser, and Dr. Doris Brandhuber, a chemist, aromatherapist, and environmental consultant. From this union, a perfect symbiosis of science, craft, and environmental awareness emerged, which resulted in a line of highly effective and certified organic products. Less is More offers not only hair care products, but also body lotions and shower gels.<\/p>\n

The test<\/h2>\n

Now, on to the fun part: trying it out. I have very long, blond hair that is naturally wavy. It\u2019s healthy and relatively easy to maintain, because I refrain from damaging hair colorations, styling products and I don\u2019t blow-dry it. I just run a comb through, and that\u2019s it. Only in the summer, when I swim in the sea almost every day, does my hair suffer a little – salt water and sun are not ideal hair care combination. So in the summer, my hair is very blond and very, very dry. How appropriate was it that I received my Less is More tester pack this summer, when my hair was at its very driest?<\/p>\n

I decided on the Mallowsmooth shampoo<\/a> and conditioner<\/a>. These products are designed specifically for dry, thick hair, and should moisturize the hair and protect it from further drying. The main ingredients are rosehip, mallow and coconut. Once again, I was struck by the scent: it is very warm and pleasant, the shampoo containing 100% organic fragrances such as palmarosa, ylang ylang, rose geranium and sweet orange. This combination is supposed to be relaxing and to calm the scalp. While I can confirm that I found the scent very relaxing, my scalp has never been particularly excited, so I unfortunately can\u2019t evaluate whether or not it delivers on the second claim.<\/p>\n

After using the shampoo and conditioner, I let my hair dry overnight as usual. The next morning, I took a close look in the mirror: was my hair flat, stringy, frizzy? Praise what may be: my hair felt great to the touch and not brittle at all. Every wave and curl was perfectly defined. I could run my fingers through it with ease. It also looked a bit thicker, since it wasn\u2019t super fluffy and waving in the wind anymore, but a bit more defined. As a bonus, you could still smell the shampoo\u2019s wonderful fragrance. Even after using it for a few days, I never got tired of how great it smelled. Mallowsmooth passed the test with flying colors.<\/p>\n

To additionally care for the tips of my hair, I also tried the Less is More Rose Serum<\/a>. It consists of rosehip seed, jojoba, apricot kernel, and coconut oils, as well as, as the name already suggests, oil extracted from roses. It worked quite well. My hair got a natural, healthy glow, and the tips were nurtured effectively. Unfortunately the smell was a bit off-putting to me \u2014 it\u2019s just too much rose aroma for me. I can definitely recommend this product, but make sure to smell it first.<\/p>\n

I have to say I\u2019ve become a major LiM fan. The products have maintained my hair beautifully throughout the summer, and I\u2019ll definitely buy the Mallowsmooth shampoo again \u2014 my curls were simply divine.<\/p>\n
