“Hi, my name is Debbie and I’m the founder of Loïs Lee Pure Skinfood. I created Loïs Lee Pure Skinfood because I wanted something that has high quality active ingredients and also respects the pH of your skin. Besides that, I thought it was very convenient that you can customize it and adjust it to your skin’s needs.

The first step is the Soothing Cleansing Oil; it has a nice blend of grapeseed oil, moringa oil, avocado oil, and castor oil. And the oils really pull out the impurities, the dirt and the makeup – and with some lavender essential oil, it really gives you a nice, relaxing experience. The warm washcloth you use with it is really where the magic happens: your skin feels really soft, and cleansed, and smooth afterwards. Step 2 & 3 is hydrate & nourish, and with these two you can make your customized blend – your customized moisturizer – just by mixing them together and adjusting them to your skin’s needs. So, if you have dry skin, maybe you use a little bit more of the oil, and if you have oily skin, you will use some more Hydrating Lotion. The very nice thing about the hydrating lotion is that it suits your skin’s pH perfectly, because it has a pH of around 4.5 and your skin has a pH of around 5. And the Beauty Oil is a synergistic blend of great plant oils & essential oils; it has camellia oil, golden jojoba oil. It has prickly pear seed oil, which has a higher amount of Vitamin E than argan oil – and it has some algae extract in it, which is very good for stimulating collagen production.

And if you impair the skin balance – the skin’s microbiome – it can result in acne, rosacea, or even premature aging. Instead of plain water, I use aloe vera water, rose water, orange blossom water – so maybe you’re a little bit cautious about using oils on your skin, especially if you have oily skin or acne-prone skin. The regular foam cleansers strip your skin of its natural oils – which gives you maybe a squeaky clean feeling, but really damages your skin’s microbiome. This can cause allergic reactions, or even more acne breakouts.

Thank you for watching & listening, and I hope I inspired you to make your skincare routine more like a skincare ritual – to relieve your daily stress, and to make self-care an important part of your life.”
