Steph’s Essentials Two-Twenty-fifteen – a new start to everything

The last marzipan balls have been eaten and the once majestically decorated Christmas trees have been discarded, many of them lying sad and naked on the sidewalks. Every now and then, you can still hear fireworks go off in the distance. January, oh January. We still have an entire year ahead of us, plans are made, resolutions formulated and almost immediately broken again. So much optimism, and maybe even a little bit of a fresh start; I enjoy it all.

New and notable at Amazingy

Amazingy has added many great new products to the range. Find new arrivals by clicking the ‘Shop by’ tab, and selecting ‘new and notable’.
There is no better time than January, the month of new beginnings, to try out some new and fancy natural cosmetics.

I present you my personal favorites for this month:

The first product that drew my attention was Mungo Murphy’s Seaweed Mask; I prefer simple no fuss products. This mask contains just one ingredient: Ascophyllum nodosum, better known as kelp.

This algae is packed with vitamins, minerals and amino acids – perfect for clarifying and refining the skin. To retain freshness, the mask comes as a simple powder. This way, you just have to add your chosen mix and you’re good to go. Good options for mixing are oils, like Jojoba oil, water, low allergy goat milk yoghurt or honey (Manuka honey is my favorite).

Kjaer Weis’ Blush Brush is the second item on my list.  This made it to my essentials because it’s specifically designed to apply creamy rouge and foundation, witch means both products can be fabulously blended without stripes or spots.

Another must have when it comes to brushes is the soft powder brush from Hiro. This one is a multitasker, suitable for applying mineral foundation, bronzer and even simple, loose powder.

Fittingly, Amazingy now carries Carolyna’s gorgeous make up bags and clutches. Proving to be the perfect storage place for all those brushes, and doubling as a portable make up bag for on the go.The bags are unlike any other bag; they’re made out of salmon leather and are all uniquely sewn, in Carolyna’s studio in Berlin. Getting one of these would not only mean you’ll have a makeup bag that is one of a kind, but would also support a regional designer.

Which new products would you like to try?

To a magnificent 2015!
