We’ve all been eagerly waiting for it: sunshine, strawberries, cherry blossoms—spring has finally arrived! We don’t know about you, but we can already feel a smidgen of summer’s heat in the air, and everyone around seems a bit more relaxed and friendly. Not to mention that we finally get to pack away those winter coats and gloves for the next six months.
But before you go pulling those summer dresses and sexy shorts out of the closet, you might want to bid farewell to dry and pale winter skin and maybe even take care of some cellulite. There’s no easier way to do that than with a natural body scrub and a little self-tanner.
Wahe Works recently launched a great coffee peeling scrub scrub that not only makes your skin feel silky smooth, but tightens the skin’s surface with a combination of finely ground coffee and sea salt. Jojoba oil, Shea butter and coconut oil round out this magical concoction and do such a good job moisturizing that you don’t even need to apply body lotion after using this peel.
After a good scrub, rub on a bit of the best-selling Invisible Tan by Eco by Sona / Eco Tan for a sun kissed tone. It’s best to do this overnight to ensure the cream has enough time to sink into your skin and do its magic. This stuff is great: it won’t leave stains on your clothes or bed sheets, and best of all, it doesn’t smell artificial like most self-tanners do these days.
For a radiant complexion, I recommend Pai’s Rosehip Bioregenerate Rapid Radiance Mask – the rosehip oil gives your skin extra moisture and a nice glow, and when you remove the mask with the accompanying muslin cloth, it gently exfoliates your skin at the same time.
If you’re careful to drink plenty of water and get enough sleep, all you need to look fresh and radiant the next day is a touch of lipstick. Lately, I’ve been a big fan of the tinted lip balms from ILIA Beauty, and I’m especially excited about the newest color, Pink Moon. It’s a great berry-like pink, which seems to compliment nearly every skin tone, making it glow night and day. Bonus: the bluish undertones make my teeth look whiter.
Time to shut that computer down and get out into sun—spring is in the air!
