Dental care

Proper dental hygiene is paramount to keeping teeth well maintained and intact. Poor oral care can lead to dental problems and other medical problems. Regular check ups and ongoing care can help prevent this.

Tips to promote good oral health:

  • Brush twice daily: to prevent an acidic build up and should be done ideally after eating to reduce the amount of bacteria that breakdown food particles.
  • Floss daily: removes food from between the teeth that a tooth brush can’t reach, further decreasing bacteria growth.
  • Rinse mouth after eating: in addition to brushing and flossing, rinsing the mouth out with water after meals helps to prevent decay and gum problems.
  • Limit acidic foods and drink: bacteria breaks down sugary drinks and foods which produces an acidic environment, softening the teeth and dissolving minerals in the tooth enamel. This causes cavities.
