The body’s circulation system is in charge of sending blood, nutrients and oxygen throughout the body. When the blood flow isn’t circulating properly, certain parts of the body, usually extremities like hands, feet, arms and legs, won’t get enough blood.
Often a sign of other health problems, such as poor metabolism, obesity, poor diet choices, long amounts of sitting, varicose veins and smoking. If it appears in conjunction with pain and/or numbness, it’s best to consult your doctor.
Regular movement will increase blood flow. Definitely avoid long periods of just sitting. Keep blood pressure with in a healthy range and cholesterol low. Change your diet to support a healthy metabolism, including warming foods like ginger, cinnamon, chilli, cayenne, garlic. Avoid wearing tight clothes that can cut off your blood supply. Reduce smoking if applicable.
