Office Faves: Tata Harper’s Resurfacing Mask

I’ll admit it, I’m a mask junkie! I love face masks for their instant results and the fact that there is a suitable mask for every skin condition. I have been really into acids and chemical scrubs for a while now and I’ve tried a lot of those kinds of products.

Someone who isn’t familiar with acids as an ingredient, could be initially put off. But don’t be afraid! The small amount used in these products won’t make your skin feel uncomfortable. However, I would still suggest that people with very sensitive skin first try out samples of acidic products.

During my many self-experiments, I came across the resurfacing mask from Tata Harper. It has a gel like consistency (it basically looks like jam), which you apply as a thick layer onto your face. After washing it off, the skin feels super plump and hydrated, instantly smoother and pores appear smaller. The fact that my pores are reduced means my blackheads become less visible, which is a big plus from my side! The willow bark extract inside the mask is a BHA (beta hydroxy acid), which goes deeper into the skin cells and penetrates the pores more than AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) products do. BHA is especially good for combination and oily skin types, because the acid removes the dead skin that’s clogging pores in a gentle way. When I first used the mask, I couldn’t believe that it was that good!

I have tried a lot of chemical scrubs before where I didn’t really notice a big difference. But the resurfacing mask has multiple effects on my skin: it gives the skin an instant glow and the aloe vera hydrates and also soothes irritated skin.

This mask is definitely a multipurpose tool you can use whenever you’re in need of a quick fix.
