I love the special Rahua smell and its light purple color. The Color Full Conditioner is the first conditioner I’ve used that manages to loosen the knots in my hair while washing, making my long hair so smooth that I can comb through it without any problems. And even still, it doesn’t weigh my hair down like some other rich hair care products do.
Another rather special thing about Rahua is that they created a new cosmetic label / category that transcends “organic” & “fair trade” called SymBIOtic®. The requirements? That ingredients be grown wild (not farmed) in the virgin rainforest; that those same ingredients be hand-processed through ancestral knowledge; and that the makers / producers are paid an above fair-trade price, helping them continue to build their own economies and strengthen their position as Indigenous Peoples.
By doing this, Rahua aids these communities in achieving their own self-sustaining economy – encouraging them to continue living in the Amazon by utilizing their special traditions, through which they ultimately maintain their role as the guardians & protectors of the Amazon Rainforest.
