So, normally, I don’t believe in expensive shower gels. I’d always rather spend my money on a serum, an eye cream, or once in awhile I’d pamper myself with a nice mask. But definitely not on something that’s only sitting on my skin for like what, 30 seconds? So when Rahua’s Shower Gel arrived and I heard the price, I thought OK great, but it’s not for me. I thought it could be nice as a gift for my grandmother or mother, who always spoil themselves with luxurious bathing products.

That was until a couple of weeks ago, when I had the pleasure to meet with the founders of Rahua and I asked them what their favourite Rahua Product was. One of them was the shower gel. I couldn’t believe it, really? I asked them what it makes it so different compared to other shower gels and also, aren’t you washing it all a way in second? Then they explained to me that their shower gel is not just expensive for no reason, but that it’s really something different. The oils in there make your skin feel soft and some people don’t even need to use moisturizing cream anymore, or if so, a lot less.

I thought about it and realized that my skin always feels pretty tight & dry after coming out of the shower, especially because the water in Berlin is so hard (full with chalk). Next to that, I suffer from this so called tiger skin, just like my grandmother. You know this flaky kind of skin covering my skin from ankles to knees, it’s not so nice. So when they gave a bottle as a gift, I decided to give it a try.

Still really skeptical about the whole thing, I showered with it the next day. Guess what, I was seriously blown away. Indeed, this shower gel is something different! It felt like using an oil but with the comfort of a gel and my skin, my skin felt so incredibly soft, this couldn’t be true! I kept on trying it out until the last drop and then of course I was hooked, couldn’t go back to my old cheaper shower gel.

I know it has a price tag, but now I understand why and for me it’s well worth it. I don’t need to cream my legs every time I had a shower anymore, a little goes a long way, the smell is amazing (Palo Santo, lavender, eucalyptus and vanilla bean) and it really creates this luxurious feeling while showering with your fancy bottle. 😉
