This month’s trend is a very feminine approach to nude make up. Pink eyeshadow is going to make your eyes pop this season! Pink and coral hues are effortlessly romantic as well as clean and chic. As seen on the spring catwalks from Jill Stuart, Altuzarra and Dior, the shades varied from pastel to vibrant – but they were all tender and fun! This trend was also picked up fast by celebrities and pink shadow was an eye catcher at this year’s Grammy Awards. The best thing about this trend is that those colours are very flattering for all skin tones and represent the new way to do pure and sensual.
Apply Uncover Up as a Foundation
Layer it up to hide any inperfections
As usual, I prepped my model’s skin with moisturizer (Suki Skin Balancing Day Lotion). Darya’s eye area got an extra hydration boost by Vestige Verdant’s „Infinity Eye Serum“. Then I applied the RMS „Uncover Up“ in 11 as foundation and concealer, warming up the product with my fingers and gently patting it into the skin. Thanks to Uncover Up’s buildable coverage, I could layer the product where needed.
Pressing the shimmer onto the lid
I applied HIRO’s Blush „The Sky was Pink“ on the upper lid with the „All Over Eye“ brush and softened the edges. With the same brush, I applied a bit of the blush pigment under the eyes, close to lashes for a rounded look. I then pressed the loose shimmer „Pinkalicious“ in the middle of the upper lid with my finger. Applying shimmery texture in the middle of matte shadow, breaks up the flat surface and adds an extra oomph of definition. With ILIA’ „Macao“, I emphasized the lashes, without drawing too much attention to them. If you have darker lashes you might just leave them bare.
Adding color to lips and cheeks
Mattifying the face
I finished off with „Luminous Complection Fluid Amelia“ by Gressa Skin. I used my fingers for the application and gently patted it on her cheeks and lips. The apricot shade harmonized perfectly with the warm pink shadows. I used the new „Radiant Translucent Powder“ by ILIA for Darja’s T-zone. The brush is perfect for working the translucent powder in and setting the makeup.
Eyeliner intensifies the look
Black Mascara defines the eyes
If you desire a change from day time to night time, you can just add a black liner („Rebel Rebel“ by ILIA) and a couple of coats of black mascara („Nightfall“ by ILIA). This will instantly elevate the whole look to a glamorous evening makeup.
Invite the femininity into your life, Weather you decide to go soft or glam!
