Natalia Does Trends: Bronzed Babe

Sun-kissed skin was a big trend that I saw all over the runways this season!
How appropriate for this trend to set in, with the first sunbeams kissing our faces and the warmer months within one’s reach.
Our skin takes on a whole different look when we get enough sun, something that many designers tried to capture through radiant skin with a gentle bronze. As seen at Balmain, Alberta Ferretti, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors and many more, the healthy fresh glow is very enticing and just in time for summer.

Step one: Base

Adding Concealer

A good cream and moisturizing foundation help in creating a healthy sheen on the skin. For this I prepped the skin with Vital Facial Cream by Nuori and ILIA Vivid Foundation in the shade Santorini. For the areas under the eyes and around the nose I used HIRO Spacebalm in Talleah. I applied this base with the Kjaer Weis Foundation Brush because it picks up the right amount of product and helps with blending it in. You’ll only need to slightly pat your finger over the applied concealer for that seamless coverage.

Step two: Tan Up

Adding Cream Bronzer to Highpoints of the face

The most natural bronzer is matted and in a tone only a few shades darker than your own skin. That’s why I tend to recommend the HIRO Mineral Foundations, because they have a wide color range and are very blendable. I applied Brown Sugar with a Fan Brush, drawing a big 3-shape on the sides of Edina’s face and over the tip of her nose. Fan brushes are exceptional helpers for bronzing beginners, as they won’t pick up too much pigment. To accentuate the high points of my model’s face , I used a small amount of Buriti Bronzer (RMS) on the cheeks and the bridge of her nose. Using different finishes like this helps to add that extra dimension to the face.

Step three: All over Radiance

Adding some Shine to the Lips

[/column] [/row] To create an all over glow and prevent any one facial feature from standing out, I kept the whole face in the same color family. I used ILIA’s Eyeliner in Sweet Jane to emphasize the lash line and Shadow of a Doubt on the lashes themselves. Warm tones tend to enhance any eye color, not only brown. I wrapped up with the sweet caramel lip shine by RMS (Moment).
