Make-Me-Up: The Daydreamy Look

Warm rays of sunshine caress the skin; a light breeze waves through the hair. It’s midday, and you sit outside in your favorite place and daydream – relishing the day & the dream, deep in your thoughts. It’s in this same romantic scenery that our model Sarah finds herself. Her makeup is alluring: delicate, romantic and intense at the same time. THE DAYDREAMY LOOK has an almost hypnotic effect on its beholders.

I decided to matte Sarah’s light but yellow-cast skin with the new Radiant Translucent Powder from ILIA Beauty, Magic Sands. And just before that, I concealed any small blemishes with Le Multi Correcteur Sweet & Safe “01” & “02”, also using the “10” beneath the eyes to lighten her dark circles.

For this look I used two rouge shades – the Mineral Rouge from HIRO Cosmetics in Dirty Diana and In the Flash. I applied the darker shade onto the lower part of the cheek bones and blended it up until the highest point, while using In the Flash across the temples and under the eyebrows. I made sure to blend both colors very well in order to create a smooth & fluid, dream-like transition.

By using the Kjaer Weis eye pencil in brown on the lower waterline of the eyes, I built a stark contrast to the flowing rouge; this gives the eyes a unique expression. I used Dirty Diana once more – this time as a shadow – on the eyelids, in order to achieve a very gentle blend between the blush and eye makeup.

The lip boost from Gressa Skin in Lavish rounds off the full look. The rich plum tone stays in the same color range, applied lightly with the tip of my finger. Once finished, the soft contours of THE DAYDREAMY LOOK become blurred – like the lines between dreams and reality.
