One of the most frequently asked questions we get from our inquisitive customers is: How can I fix my pressed mineral powder makeup that broke? It turns out, that not only is it super easy to do, but you probably have all the equipment you need around the house. The benefits of pressed powders? They travel better and they have a creamier texture AND they last for longer.
What you’ll need:
1. Find an appropriate container and make sure it is cleaned and dried. The original makeup containers are also suitable. Keep in mind how much makeup you’d like to press in terms of the container’s size.
2. Crush the fragmented powder pieces with the back of a spoon and sift out the clumps
3. Empty the loose powder into a bowl. You can use as little or as much as you’d like, just keep in mind your container size.
4. Add a couple drops of rubbing alcohol until you have a smooth cream texture. Try to work out little clumps and air pockets.
5. Transfer to the clean container and pat down with the back of spoon to make it evenly distributed.
6. Use a napkin or paper towel to cover the mixture, while gently pressing it into place taking care no pressed powder spills over.
7. Keep it like this for at least 24 hours and let it dry completely. Then, presto! It’s ready beautify your makeup palette
